Some really interesting stuff

Well I never. Today when surfing the web I found a website containing a whole list of useless but interesting facts. Here are a few that I noted:

  • In the Mexican Durango desert, an area dubbed the "Zone of Silence" exists. There, you have no reception on TV, radio and other signals. Even stranger, balls of fire sometimes appear in the sky.
  • The first business Bill Gate started was called the Traff-O-Data, a company that built devices that tracked the traffic passing a given point on a road.
  • The orbital axis of Uranus is tilted at a 90 degree angle.
  • Outside of the United States, the biggest computer software producing country in the world is Ireland.
  • Every human being spent approximately half an hour as a single cell.
  • Cold water is lighter than Hot Water.
In fact this was only in a single section of the website. There were a lot more. I don't think I'll list the website here, but In my opinion it was really interesting.

On a sidenote I also found a website that talked about lateral thinking and had about a hundread questions in a quiz about it. Some of the puzzles were really intriguing and I doubt I'd have figured them out unless I looked at the answers.

Anyway it's been a really great morning and hopefully I'll find more cool stuff to post here in the days to come, where everybody will be able to see and appreciate it. Well thats about it and I'm off again, so see you people soon.

Welcome to the information box

Hi everyone, this my the first post!

I created this blog to note down some of the cool stuff that I find on the internet. You know, somethings that you see that are of interest. Whatever I can find, cool videos, funny pictures, inspiring stories, anything notable I will write about here. Why? Maybe cause I'm too bored and have nothing else to do. Anyway I wouldn't be surprised if I don't post often, cause I'm not really that free either.

The internet has come a long way since it first started. Last time you could only find cool stuff on newspapers and TV shows but now you find it all over the net. It certainly has plenty of interesting information just waiting to be dug out from its bowels. In fact if you find something amusing or intriguing, feel free to point it out here and I might even write about it if it interests me as much as it does to you.
